Philosophy
Deb believes good interior design merges the classical principles of art and design (proportion, scale, texture, form, and line) with the clients’ desire for superior living spaces (functional, beautiful, and suitable for their lifestyle). Deb listens carefully to her clients and prides herself on delivering a high level of client satisfaction.
Process
Before beginning any project, Deb carefully evaluates the existing space and meets with her clients to discuss their needs. After evaluating the project, Deb creates a project timeline, and then gets to work designing. She always gives her clients a variety of ideas, paying particular attention to cabinetry and casework details. Deb specifies quality materials, bringing samples of materials, finishes, fixtures, plumbing, and lighting–all to a client’s home.
Once the designs are refined and approved, Deb meticulously hand-draws the final working drawings, including exact dimensions and detailed specifications. She then visits the job site frequently, and coordinates all aspects of construction with the general contractor and tradespeople, to ensure that final results exceed expectations.
