Originally the kitchen in the 1920s, this room was gutted, a wall moved, and the floor and ceiling leveled. The fir floor, windows, and doors are all original, but the wainscoting, box beams, and built-in are all new, classic Craftsman details. Any new fir wood and moulding were milled and stained to match the existing old wood. The original swinging doors were converted to space-saving pocket doors. A combination of salvaged and reproduction light fixtures and push-button switches completes the renovation.
