This cozy 1940s kitchen stayed small, but was modernized and optimized in order to live big. The complete remodel retains the original windows, doors, and fir flooring, but includes all-new custom cabinets, marble counters, a handmade subway-tile backsplash, and an unusual, double, fireclay farmhouse sink. Vintage accessories, such as the crystal overhead light fixture and salvaged industrial island cart, add an eclectic, personal touch.
